Overview

The Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) is a two-year, full-time Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program. It is designed for future leaders, policy thinkers, and innovation specialists in higher education. The program involves study across an international consortium of universities in Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, China, and India.

Coverage

All selected students receive full tuition fee coverage. Additionally, a limited number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available, which include a €1,400 monthly allowance to cover travel, visa, installation, and living costs, plus worldwide health and accident insurance. Two additional scholarships are available per intake for students from deprived backgrounds or first-in-family students.

Eligibility

Open to applicants worldwide who hold a first university degree of at least three years' duration (180 ECTS). Candidates from all academic backgrounds (e.g., education, economics, social sciences, humanities, engineering, management) are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate a strong interest in higher education, research, and innovation.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years), possess sufficient English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent), and provide academic transcripts, a CV, a motivation letter, and two letters of recommendation.

Notes

The program is taught entirely in English. The curriculum includes a mandatory internship. The program begins in September 2027.
