Video Contest Scholarship for Creative Students

This is an annual video contest scholarship offered by IvyPanda. It awards creative students for submitting an original video on topics related to AI, ChatGPT, or productive study environments. Two winners are selected each year.

The total scholarship amount is $1,500, distributed to two winners. The first-place winner receives a $1,000 scholarship, and the runner-up receives a $500 scholarship. These are monetary awards.

This scholarship is open to current high school, college, and university students worldwide. Ethiopian students are eligible. Applicants must create an original video in English, between 1 to 1:30 minutes long, on one of the specified topics. Winners will be required to provide proof of their academic status or enrollment.

Applicants must create an original video on one of the following topics: "When everyone has AI, what makes a student's work truly stand out?", "Career planning in the age of AI: How should students prepare today?", or "If AI were your classmate, what could it teach you – and what would it never understand?". The video must contain only copyright-free content, be in English, last between 1 – 1:30 minutes, be submitted in .MOV, .MPEG4, .MP4, or .AVI format, have a widescreen aspect ratio, and feature the official IvyPanda logo clearly visible throughout. Each participant may submit only one video. Winners must provide proof of enrollment or study to receive their award.

1. Record your original video on one of the given topics, ensuring it meets all technical and content requirements. 2. Upload your video to a file-hosting service like Dropbox or Google Drive, ensuring it is not set to public access before the contest and the share option is set to "Give access to anyone with the link". 3. Subscribe to IvyPanda’s first and second YouTube channels. 4. Like and share the Contest video-description (found on IvyPanda's YouTube channel) on X, Facebook, or Instagram. 5. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “IvyPanda Video Contest Submission”. The email body must contain, in this specific order: the direct link to your uploaded video, screenshots of your subscriptions to IvyPanda’s YouTube channels, a screenshot of the Contest video-description shared on social media, a creative and catchy title for your video, and a detailed answer to the question: “Where did you find out about the IvyPanda Contest?”

Submitted videos will be evaluated by an editorial team based on Content Usefulness, Engagement, Creativity, and Production. The best videos will be published on the IvyPanda YouTube channel and opened for online voting. The two videos with the most likes and best audience engagement will be determined as winners. Participants are encouraged to share their published video links on social media using #ivypanda and #ivypandascholarship to increase their chances.
