Overview

The CWAJ Graduate Scholarship is a privately funded program designed to support non-Japanese female researchers pursuing doctoral degrees at Japanese universities.

Coverage

Successful applicants receive 2,000,000 Japanese yen annually to assist with living expenses, research fees, tuition, housing, and academic supplies.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Japanese women who are not permanent residents of Japan. You must be currently residing in Japan at the time of application and be enrolled in a PhD program at a Japanese university between April 2027 and March 2028.

Requirements
