Funding fully funded Overview
Applications are open for the fully-funded Yale University Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2027. This is a 5-month fellowship designed to build a community of climate leaders committed to clean energy. It aims to broaden participants' technical skills, deepen their professional networks, and connect them with top climate leaders globally. The program begins with an in-person Yale Orientation week in the USA (February 1-5, 2027) and concludes with an in-person one-week stay in Paris, France (June 14-18, 2027).
Coverage
This is a fully-funded fellowship. It covers round-trip airfare to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut (USA) and to Paris (France). Accommodation in both the USA and Paris, airport transfers, and a daily allowance are also provided. Most meals will be covered during the in-person sessions.
Eligibility
Applicants must be from developing countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America/Caribbean (Global South). Ethiopian students are eligible. Candidates must be fluent in English, as an excellent command of the language is essential for successful participation. Applicants must be available to fully participate in person in the USA (Yale) and France (Paris), as well as in remote sessions. Candidates should have 5-10 years of professional career experience with demonstrated accomplishments at a regional, national, or international level. There is no age limit, but the fellowship seeks leaders who are still on the rise in their careers. The fellowship is open to professionals from various fields, including public service, entrepreneurship, energy, finance, journalism, education, research, civil society, law, and legislation.
Requirements
Applicants are required to submit a résumé/curriculum vitae (maximum three pages), a brief video statement, a personal statement (maximum 600 words), and one letter of recommendation. An electronic application fee of $20 USD is required to submit the application.

Notes
Admission to the fellowship is highly competitive, with cohorts being geographically balanced and representing diverse professions, talents, experiences, cultures, and perspectives.
