The World Bank WBG Pioneers Internship 2026 is a paid global internship program designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students from World Bank Group member countries. Coverage
Selected candidates for paid internship positions will receive a competitive hourly salary. Participants will also benefit from direct guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals, develop valuable professional skills that enhance their CV, and expand their global network by collaborating with professionals and students from diverse countries. The program provides significant professional exposure to how the World Bank Group designs and delivers global development projects. Additionally, there are selected no-fee internship opportunities available.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of a World Bank Group (WBG) member country; Ethiopian students are eligible. Candidates must be final year undergraduate students or currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program. For the no-fee internship track, students must be enrolled in a Master's, PhD, or a similar graduate program for the entire duration of the internship, or be in the fifth year or higher of a degree program in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages. Applicants should have 0 to 6 years of professional work experience and must be fluent in English. A strong commitment to the World Bank Group’s mission and values is also required.
