Overview

The One Young World Summit 2026 is a global gathering of young leaders taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–6 November 2026. The Leading Scholarship is designed to support exceptional young leaders from under-represented countries who are actively working to create positive change in their communities.

Coverage

This is a fully funded opportunity. It covers delegate access to the summit, hotel accommodation (from 2–6 November 2026), all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and travel expenses to and from Cape Town.

Eligibility

Open to young leaders from almost every country in the world, including Ethiopia. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of the summit.

Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate a proven commitment to delivering positive change, address key local or global issues through their work, and have a track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas.

How to apply

Interested candidates must complete the official online application form available on the One Young World website. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Notes

Selected participants will join a global network of over 20,000 ambassadors and gain access to mentoring, speaking opportunities, and regional networking events.
