Overview

The ISTA-Fellow program is a prestigious, fully funded 2-year postdoctoral fellowship for researchers in natural sciences, computer science, mathematics, and related disciplines.

Coverage

Fellows receive a full-time employment contract with a minimum annual gross salary of EUR 73,500, full social security coverage, and access to world-class research facilities. On-campus housing and daycare are available subject to availability.

Eligibility

Open to international candidates who have completed or will complete their PhD before June 15, 2027. Researchers already employed at ISTA before September 1, 2026, are ineligible.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a research proposal (max 5 pages), CV (max 2 pages), publication list, motivational statement (max 2 pages), and a completed ethical issues table.
