Overview

The Moroccan Government Scholarship is offered through the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) to international students, including those from Ethiopia, to pursue higher education in Morocco.

Coverage

The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of 1,750 Moroccan Dirhams (approx. $190 USD), one-way airfare to Morocco, a return ticket upon completion of studies, and health insurance coverage. Note: The stipend does not cover registration fees, accommodation, local transport, or educational materials.

Eligibility

Open to international students. Ethiopian students are eligible to apply.

Requirements

Applicants must provide a completed application form, degree certificates, academic transcripts, a valid passport or national ID, a medical certificate, a police clearance certificate, a passport-size photo, and an updated CV. PhD applicants must submit a research proposal. French language proficiency is often required, and candidates may need to attend language training in Rabat.

How to apply

Applications are typically processed through the Moroccan diplomatic missions (Embassy of Morocco) in the applicant's home country or via the AMCI official portal. Candidates should contact the nearest Moroccan Embassy for specific submission procedures.

Notes

Most programs are taught in French. Students are encouraged to verify specific program requirements directly with the AMCI or their local Moroccan Embassy.
